Class 1 Laser- 1类激光
Class 1 Laser cannot emit laser radiation at known hazard levels (typically continuous wave: CW 0.4 µW at visible wavelengths). Users of Class I laser products are generally exempt from radiation hazard controls during operation (but not necessarily during service). There is no risk to eyes or skin. Class 1 lasers may consist of a higher power laser housed within an enclosure.激光输出功率在 0.4mW以下的可见光,通常是可以安全地目视的,不会对眼睛、皮肤造成伤害,但是,一类激光产品内可能包含一个高功率激光,维修时需注意防护。
Class 2 Laser- 2类激光
Low-power visible lasers that emit above Class I levels but at a radiant power not above 1 mW. The aversion response will protect the eye from damage due to direct exposure. Class 3 Laser- 3类激光
Class 3A :Moderate power lasers (CW: 1mW to 5mW) for visible wavelengths (400 to 700nm). Class 3A lasers are considered low-risk but potentially hazardous,Direct eye exposure to Class 3A lasers is hazardous ,Some limited controls are usually recommended. 3A类激光功率为 1~5mW的可见光(400 to 700nm),3A类激光被认为是低风险,但是该类激光仍有潜在危害,不可以直视,建议做适当防护。
Class 3B :Moderate power lasers (CW: up to 500mW, Pulsed up to 30mJ,10 J/cm2) in wavelength range of 300nm to far infrared. Direct eye exposure to Class 3B lasers is hazardous; however, diffusely scattered radiation is generally safe. Direct exposure to skin is a potential hazard. In general Class IIIB lasers will not be a fire hazard, nor are they generally capable of producing a hazardous diffuse reflection. Specific controls are recommended. 3B类激光(指输出功率低于 500mW的连续波激光,小于30mJ单脉冲能量的脉冲激光,小于10 J/cm2的能量密度),涉及波长范围(300nm-远红外),直接照射眼睛与皮肤,会造成伤害,一般来说无火灾隐患,建议专门防护。
Class 4 Laser- 4类激光
High power lasers (CW: 500 mW, pulsed: 10 J/cm2 or the diffuse reflection limit) are hazardous to view under any condition (directly or diffusely scattered) and are a potential fire hazard and a skin hazard. Significant controls are required of Class 4 laser facilities.
高功率激光(指输出功率高于 500mW的连续波激光,超过10 J/cm2能量密度的脉冲激光)。如果使用不当,以致眼睛和皮肤受到直接光束或散射光束照射时,都会伤害眼睛与皮肤,同时有火灾隐患,需要重点做专门的防护。
If you are using a class 1 laser product, no special safety precautions need be taken as the laser product is intrinsically safe. There are no dangerous emissions of laser light.如果正在使用 1类激光产品,则无须采取特定的安全预防措施,因为该激光产品本身就是安全的。该激光产品未发出有危害的激光。
A high-power class 4 laser is incorporated in the class 1 laser product.大功率的 4类激光器组装在 1类激光产品中。

Radiation from this laser product is still capable of causing eye damage at long range. This is why the laser area, the area in which work is being carried out with the ray path open, must be cordoned off and suitable warning signs posted.

Depending on the strength of the laser power or energy being used, the type of material, and the gases being used to support the laser process, strong ultra-violet (UV) radiation may be generated in the laser process zone and reflected by the material into the laser area.取决于所使用的激光功率或能量大小、材料的类型以及激光加工所使用的气体,在激光加工区可能会产生较强的紫外辐射,并通过材料反射到激光区。

In exceptional cases small quantities of ozone could be generated in laser material processing when significant UV radiation is generated. 1.2.2 Procedure in case of accident事故处理程序
If a laser injury, or suspected laser injury, has occurred immediately: 如果已发生激光造成的损伤或疑为激光造成的损伤,应立即:
Turn off the laser. 关闭激光器。
Inform your superior and if necessary, the laser safety officer, company doctor and safety specialist.通知上级;并且如需要的话,通知激光安全员、公司医生和安全专员。

1.2.3 Preparation for use使用前的准备工作
All relevant accident prevention regulations must be complied with when class 4 laser equipment is used for the first time. It may be necessary to inform the health and safety authorities 在第一次使用 4类激光设备时必须遵循所有相关的事故预防规章操作。需要时应通知安全卫生机构。 This requirement is met when the notification contains information about the manufacturer, laser type (e.g. pulse laser, CW laser), output power and, under certain circumstances, pulse duration and laser wavelength.在本通知含有制造商、激光类型(如脉冲激光、CW激光)、输出功率以及某些情况下的脉冲宽度和激光波长等信息时应满足本项要求。
1.2.4 Safety procedure in normal operation 正常运行时的安全程序
Only operate the laser product when all the safety mechanisms are functioning correctly. 仅操作所有安全产品均正确执行功能的激光产品。
Check the laser product at least once per shift for signs of visible damage and also the safety equipment (e.g. defective safety glass or safety circuits). 至少每个班次检查激光产品一次,检查是否有可见的损坏迹象以及检查安全设备(如安全玻璃或安全电路有缺陷等)。 Faults that degrade safety must be repaired or eliminated immediately. 对于会降低安全等级的故障必须立即进行检修或排除。

Safety mechanisms may only be removed when the laser product has been shut down and measures have been taken to prevent the laser product from being restarted.仅在已关闭激光产品并且已采取措施防止激光产品重新启动时方可拆下安全产品。
When subcomponents are installed, the operator must fit the safety mechanisms stipulated in the relevant standards. 在安装部件时,操作人员必须安装相关标准中规定的安全产品。
1.2.6 Maintenance, Service and trouble shooting 维护、检修和故障排除
When carrying out service and maintenance work: 在进行检修和维护作业时:
Caution! Never work alone!小心!切勿单人作业! A second person, who is at least familiar with the risks posed by laser radiation and high voltages, should always be close by when service and maintenance work is being carried out. If there is an accident, this person can turn off the laser equipment and provide first aid. 至少熟知激光辐射和高压所构成的危险的第二个人在进行检修维护作业时一定要在旁边。如果发生事故,此人则可关闭激光设备并提供急救。
Always carry out adjustment, maintenance and inspection work at the scheduled times. 务必要按照计划的时间进行调节、维护和检查作业。
Inform the operating personnel that maintenance and repair work is to be carried out.通知操作人员进行维护和检修作业。
When carrying out any maintenance, repair or inspection work, always disconnect the laser product from any voltage sources and secure the main switch so that it cannot be activated. 在进行任何维护、检修或检查作业时,务必将激光产品与任何电源断开,并确保总电源开关不能启动。
Lock the main switch and remove the key.锁定总电源开关并拔下钥匙。
Post a warning sign to make it clear that the laser must not be turned on again. 张贴警示标牌,并标明该激光器不能再打开。
Check that any screws that have been undone are properly tightened when the laser is reassembled. 在重新组装激光器时务必要检查任何已松动的螺丝适当旋紧。
When the maintenance work has been completed, check that the safety products are operating correctly.在完成维护作业时,检查安全产品是否正确运行。
Class 4 laser with a high output power both in CW and pulse mode which emits invisible laser radiation in the infra-red range. 4类激光产品是以 CW和脉冲模式的,具有较大的输出功率,在红外范围内发出不可见的激光辐射。
Safety locking components (safety switches) are opened compulsorily if cover plates (if any) and/or safety casings are opened e.g. for maintenance.如果盖板(如果有的话)和 /或安全护罩打开,如进行维护等,则必须打开安全锁定部件(安全开关)。
The safety switch may only be opened when approval has been granted; only suitably qualified personnel may be entrusted to open the switch. 1.2.7 Constructional modifications to the laser product 激光产品结构改装
Do not make any modifications or additions to the laser installation without the permission of the manufacturer. 在未得到制造商的批准情况下切勿对激光产品进行任何改装或添加。 It is essential to clear all modifications with FTI必须与 FTI公司一起杜绝一切改装行为。 Replace any component or part in the laser product that is not in perfect condition, Only use original spare parts (applies to expendables as well).更换激光产品中未达到完好状态的任何元器件或部件,仅使用原产的零部件(同样也适用于耗材)。
There is no guarantee that parts purchased from companies other than FTI will meet the stipulated safety and performance requirements.不担保从 FTI公司以外的公司采购的部件会满足规定的安全和性能要求。

The operator must provide the necessary personal safety equipment.操作人员必须提供所需的个人安全防护装备。
All safety products must be checked regularly. 必须定期检查所有的安全产品。
Always observe the accident prevention procedures stipulated for your application.务必要按照应用过程中规定的事故预防程序操作。
1.2.10 Informal safety procedures 非正式安全程序
Always keep the Operation Manual close by the site where the laser product is being operated. 务必要使《操作手册》放置于要操作的激光产品附近。
As well as the Operation Manual, international and national regulations on accident prevention and environmental protection should also be kept close by and observed.也应将事故预防和环境保护方面的国际和国内规章与《操作手册》一起放置在附近,并遵循这些国际和国内规章。
The legibility of all safety and warning signs attached to the laser must be guaranteed at all times.在任何时候均必须保证粘贴在激光器上的所有安全警示标牌清楚易读。
Caution! Dangerous exposure to radiation may be the result of using operating or alignment equipment or adopting procedures not specified in this document. 小心!未按照本文件规定使用操作或校准设备或采用程序操作可能会有暴露于辐射中的危险。
1.2.11 Personnel training 人员培训
Only personnel who have been properly trained and briefed about the dangerous effects of laser radiation as required by the relevant laser accident prevention regulations may be allowed to carry out service work on laser products with the ray path open. 仅下列人员方可允许在射线路径开放的情况下对激光产品进行检修作业:这些人员已接受过适当培训并已了解相关的激光事故预防规章所要求的激光辐射的有害影响等方面的介绍。
What the personnel may or may not do in relation to installation, putting into service, operation, setting up, maintenance and repairs must be clearly defined. 1.2.12 Laser Safety Officer激光安全员
When class 4 laser equipment has been installed, a laser safety officer with the appropriate level of competence must be appointed in writing by the employer. In the case of class 1 laser equipment, a laser safety officer need only be present when the operator himself is carrying out maintenance or service work on the laser equipment when the beam is exposed.已安装 4类激光设备时,必须由雇主书面任命具有适当资质水平的激光安全员。在 1类激光设备情况下,仅在操作人员自己在暴露于激光束时对激光设备进行检修维护作业时,激光安全员必须在场。
This assumes that the operator open the key-lock switch. Thanks to his specialist training and experience, the laser safety officer should fully understand the safety procedures and equipment used. Protective goggles: 护目镜:
The mandatory protective goggles provide protection against direct radiation, reflected radiation and scattered radiation. None the less, even if you are wearing protective goggles never look directly into the beam. Intense laser radiation is capable of destroying the protective filter. 强制性的护目镜能提供对于直射、反射辐射和散射的保护。但即使是戴着护目镜,也切勿正对着激光束看。强烈的激光辐射会毁坏保护过滤器。
If alignment or maintenance work on class 4 laser equipment is necessary, everyone in the laser area must wear appropriate protective goggles. The goggles must meet the safety requirements for the laser output power in question. As the filter in the goggles only provides protection for a narrow band of wavelengths, make sure you are wearing the right goggles for the laser product in question. Using the wrong type of goggles is dangerous. Although the skin can withstand a considerably higher radiation intensity than the eyes, tissue may be burned to a greater or lesser degree depending on the irradiation time and the irradiation intensity. Appropriate protective clothing should be worn to protect the skin whenever necessary.

Hazards due to UV radiation: 因紫外辐射引起的危害
When the laser head is open, in addition to the laser radiation, UV radiation generated by the pump lamps can potentially be emitted from the laser resonator. Moreover, UV radiation can be emitted from the laser processing area during material processing using laser radiation with high energy and power. 当打开激光头时,除激光辐射外,因激光灯产生的紫外辐射潜在会从激光谐振腔中发出。而且在使用大能量和功率的激光辐射进行材料加工时,紫外辐射会从激光加工区发出。
