Confovis is a system provider of optical 3D-surface metrology for industrial application from Jena, Germany. Confovis provides automated solutions for MEMS and semiconductors, roughness measurements in automotive & aerospace, wear identification in cutting tools as well as metallurgy and optical industries. The Confovis patented confocal technology of “structured illumination microscopy” opens new opportunities in fast and nanometer scale surface analysis. With the measurement system WAFERinspect, Confovis creates a Swiss Army Knife for multi-process-analysis by combining confocal measurements with classical 2D analysis plus visual inspection capability. In this way, Confovis offers a time- and cost-saving solution for various tasks. The variety of 2-D applications, such as critical dimension on line / space, VIAs, pillars, overlay could get analyzed with an easy tool box. 3D applications such as slope angles, step heights, roughness, pumps, needle imprints could get measured with the fast area scanning confocal working method.
